Mr. Horman co-founded Horman Nichols in 2016.  His practice areas include estate planning, family law, civil litigation, collections and real estate law.  In addition to representing individual and corporate clients, Mr. Horman is a certified mediator and is often referred cases by the Circuit Court for Frederick County to assist the parties in resolving their disputes. 

Mr. Horman frequently serves as a trustee appointed by the Circuit Court for Frederick County to sell real estate when a sale in lieu of partition is granted

Mr. Horman co-founded Horman Nichols in 2016.  His practice areas include estate planning, family law, civil litigation, collections and real estate law. 


Mr. Horman was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 2002.  He served as a Law Clerk for the Office of General Counsel for the General Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists from 2000-2002.  From 2003-2004 he served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Julie S. Solt in the Circuit Court for Frederick County.  Upon completing his judicial clerkship, Mr. Horman began work with Shoemaker, Horman and Clapp as an associate and became a partner in 2009 and continued as partner until the formation of Horman Nichols in 2016.

Since returning to Frederick, Mr. Horman has been active with the Bar Association of Frederick County and has served on the Executive Committee as Bar Association Secretary, Treasurer, and President.
